NEWSLETTER  December 2011

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has abounded in us during this passing year
of 2011.
We have faith that the in-coming year of 2012 will usher in a greater move of God’s Spirit in our lives and ministries in Jesus name!
I am confident of this truth because it is already written that God’s chosen ones will move from glory to higher glory: Amen!

We continue to specially thank you for believing for the hand of God to rest upon our lives…praying and supporting us until now.
Heaven rejoices in your timely response to this high call of God to win as many souls as possible into God’s kingdom; even here in The Gambia.
On behalf of the government of heaven,
we say, “THANK YOU”.
Pastor Chris.

SERREKUNDA CHURCH  (Bakoteh)
The membership in Bakoteh remains the same this month at one hundred and eighteen. This month of December happened to be our testimony month.
We have a Muslim who pledged to serve Christ with us.
We are still encouraging her. Her name is Fatu. She is from the Mandinka tribe. Please lift her up in your prayers.
A sister named Mercy, a Liberian who is in our choir, told the church how she was miraculously delivered from a strange voice that kept speaking and tormenting her…subsequently she has been healed of  an ulcer after giving her life to Christ. This happened without her being prayed for in the church.
Another sister, Juliet by name, a Cameroonian, testified to the glory of God about her miraculous pregnancy. She had been seeking to have a child for the last 5 years. 2 years ago, she joined our church. Last December (2010) the Lord used Pastor Chris to tell her that she would be coming back this December with a baby. She struggled with that word from God for a while and then she believed. On our testimony day, this December 2011, she came and testified of the infallibility of God’s Word. She is 8 months pregnant. Hallelujah!

Another brother, Joseph, a Gambian, also
testified. He is being sponsored through the Gambia University by a catholic priest. After hearing the glorious, good news of our Lord, he gave his life to Christ. Because of this, he was threatened about his scholarship. He continued strongly in faith…praying. Surprisingly, this semester, he was the first person to be paid for at the university by the same catholic priest. Only God can do this. The church is also glad for Joseph.

BRUSUBI CHURCH
Brusubi fellowship has an average attendance of 75 people. Out of this number 53 of them are fervently serving the Lord.
Pastor Sylvester and Mary his wife are relentless in prayer and evangelism in and for this area.
Please continue to lift up this church in your prayer time.
The landlord’s wife continually arranges waves of misunderstanding in the compound but we know our Lord loves her despite this evil.

KARTONG  VILLAGE CHURCH
The fellowship in Kartong village continues to meet; growing in strength and in the Word. Amen! The persecution, from some Catholics and Muslims, is not as strong as it used to be.
Now, the number of disciples is 10. There should be 12 except for the fact  of two loving souls’ inability to continue coming.
The majority of the worshippers here come from surrounding villages.
In addition to this ministry Pastor Habib travels across the water to Senegal and reaches out to the souls there. He has also decided, by the grace of God, to reach out to other villages including Gunjur, Berending, Kartack and Nyafrang .
PRESENT NEED: The last time, I chatted with pastor Habib, he told me that he is praying for a good mountain bicycle for his outreach to the far villages.
As the Lord has prospered you, please do. Amen!

SANYANG  VILLAGE  CHURCH
Sanyang village is responding to the gospel faster than other villages.
The hunger in the people here continues to rise to the glory of God.
Pastor Ben and Anna his wife are in charge here.
The attendance has increased from 62 to 65 plus children.
Sanyang fellowship is really growing in numbers.
Imagine the joy of the Lord at your kind support for His heartbeat in this area.

DARANKA VILLAGE CHURCH
The Spirit of God is at work in this fellowship. Pastor Bonua and Marie-Therese, his wife, continues to labour among the people patiently.  There is an attendance is 22 people. 15 of them are fervent for the Lord.
4 have not been coming because of threats from their people.
We pray for them.

In all this, we are more than conquerors. God is continually proving His love to us through you. Your love for the spread of the gospel in The Gambia is a strong proof of this.

We thank you. We are ever grateful to you all.

Wishing you a blessed and a greater new year ahead in Jesus name.

Your servant in Christ.
